The ancient philosophers must be looking down upon us with disdain, shaking their heads in disbelief. For we have failed them and all the great contributors to knowledge and science that followed them.
It is true that there has always been present some bias or another in the evolution of knowledge and understanding. Examples of political and religious interference abound along the convoluted path to the Industrial Revolution and the technology which followed. However the overall trend was towards greater enlightenment. Until the latter part of the twentieth century...
Initially the negative influences upon unfettered intellectual inquiry were subtle and barely discernable. But new influences in an increasingly connected world began to manifest towards the end of the last century. The pressure to publish for personal standing and tenure resulted in the “publish or perish” phenomenon with the inevitable flooding of the literature with low quality publications. Heads of department decisions regarding what was “acceptable” to investigate and research further compromised the evolution of knowledge. Playing through this global environment was the ever present confirmation bias – the seeking out of information to substantiate one’s hypothesis. This manifest also in review articles where there was often a subtle selection bias to support the popular perspective. Over the past several years the situation has deteriorated to the point that one has lost confidence in the authenticity of many of the publications. This situation was illustrated recently by an editorial written by the outgoing editor of a neuroscience journal in which he lamented that there had been an 80% increase in retraction of published articles over the preceding five year period!
Enter Big Pharma, Big Money and Big Influence and everything else pales into insignificance. Evidence of manipulation of studies through “bought” medics and suppression of adverse consequences in pre-marketing trials abound. Litigation against this industry became the norm. But before I wax lyrical it is important “not to throw the baby out with the bath water” – there have been great pharmaceutical developments which have saved many lives and improved quality of life. If only this had prevailed as the order of the day. But nope. The big G was relentlessly driving the industry which had become global – GREED and hungry shareholders!
On the eve of Covid bursting upon us, Big Pharma and its global reach owned or sponsored most of the important research in multiple institutions. They also sponsored multiple medical journals worldwide. Through this influence they could manipulate and control much if not most of the published information. It was a mere formality to create a collective belief and an accompanying narrative with their sophisticated marketing tentacles. This would obviously be supported by all who benefited from their generous sponsorships, for to challenge the narrative would be perilous in terms of their careers. As for those who wished to publish findings that challenged the popular narrative, much of that information never really saw the light of day in formal publications. But in the network of the parallel universe, that information was shared over the past twenty months.
Thus it came to pass that those who challenged the popular narrative became discredited, with many losing tenure as in the case of Dr Peter McCullough – arguably one of the most respected cardio-renal authorities in the world. Others that have been discredited are Dr Robert Malone, one of the developers of the mRNA vaccine and Prof Martin Kulldorf, world renowned epidemiologist. The list is formidable. In response to the unfolding narrative with its increasing unsubstantiated claims, sixty thousand of us medical practitioners globally signed the Barrington Declaration indicating our deep concern with multiple elements of the diagnosis and management of Covid as prescribed by the popular narrative.
But that’s not all ... as they say on TV. Big Pharma was invested in the mass and social media and vice versa – social media was heavily invested in Big Pharma. Hence the narrative was carried by all the media to fulfill its objectives. Those that challenged the narrative even with well researched and referenced articles were simply “cancelled” – their accounts terminated, as was mine on LinkedIn. Ironically the article that I uploaded and that got me “cancelled” had been published by the British Medical Journal (BMJ). It was in fact shared confidentially with two colleagues through private messaging. That means that LinkedIn was actually monitoring private conversations!! Below, I have shared the link to this article. It speaks for itself and is enormously concerning.
This is the world of the Half-Brainer narrative (see definition in - A new beginning) that now dominates our lives – a PCR with its multiple issues; an experimental vaccine with its own issues and concerns for the future; scientifically unsubstantiated mandates and so on. For me personally it has been a shocker to observe how the majority of humanity has accepted the prevailing narrative as the gospel without question. Those with formidable scientific backgrounds are so comprehensively processed as Half-Brainers that they’re not even aware of the existence of alternative narratives with more than adequate scientific grounding. Unfortunately the censuring consequence of the dominating narrative has stifled unfettered discourse between professionals and thereby has compromised the growth of knowledge and understanding.
There is a minority of us that feel the need to hammer away and challenge with substantiated facts to ensure that no harm is done – now and into the future. We will inevitably pay a price for this but so be it. Silence is not an option when one has gained the awareness of an issue that concerns us all. Let me end off with a quote from Friedrich Nietzsche in “Thus spoke Zarathustra” – “Silence is worse; all truths that are kept silent become poisonous.”

Dr Robert Malone Shares his personal experience (puts it all into perspective):
Great read Ian and an excellent video by Dr. Robert Malone. That was quite the intervview that he had with Joe Rogan. Here's an interesting article that is related to that interview;

I just checked the Great Barrington Declaration and there are over 910,000 signatures on it.
Great Job! Well done Sir!
