I’m fascinated that Max Plank, goodness my words here can’t adequately describe- I will try here , abandoned fixed and immutable for ALL - as he discovered with the quantum- it was impossible to ‘nail’ down anything as the other variables are in constant change- hence probabilities were as close as could be noted, so it is with all of creation!

Arthur Bentley was on a very similar tack with his essays ‘inquiry into Inquiry’. His collaboration with John Dewey ‘Knowing and the Known’ Useful Procedures for Inquiry’ tackles this same problem noting the inadequate use of language 1949 I think it was published.

Thank you for the post.

The quest for certainty runs deep. My own of course included. I’ve done thinking experiments on my self as I’ve abandoned ‘a quest for certainty’

With attention for about 15 yrs now

resulting in my return to living in the entirety of environment- difficult for me to articulate- the separation was established early in life - lots of self delusional dissolving along the way.

I’m wondering these days if a human could be raised without this separation perception that is culturally ingrained?

I’m hopeful- ❤️
